hip·pie -ˈhipē:

(especially in the 1960s) a person of unconventional appearance, typically having long hair and wearing beads, associated with a subculture involving a rejection of conventional values and the taking of hallucinogenic drugs.

Hippies are an iconic subculture to which I personally relate to on a deep level. I love all things “hippie” and want to give you my own spin on things having to do with a “hippie” lifesyle.

On this blog I will post various things such as recipes, DIY projects, Music, News, Etc, for you to learn and grow with! I hope you enjoy exploring my blog and learn something new!

Here is a breakdown of what categories belong to which days:

-Media Mondays: Here we will feature an artist, musician, movie, etc. and talk about them and their art! All these will somewhat pertain to “hippie” style.

-Tasty Tuesday: Here we will talk about recipes and food! Maybe some edibles, hehe. What good hippie doesn’t have a pot brownie here or there? Most of these will be healthy foods and invigorating drinks that can help your overall health or be a great alternative to other, less-healthy choices.

-Women’s Wednesdays: On Wednesdays, we wear pink.. and tie dye! Kidding.. On Wednesdays we talk about women! Women’s rights, women’s health, women’s fashion, etc. You will find fun DIY fashion and beauty products, tips and tricks for women’s health, helpful research for women’s health, and relationship advice from women, for women.

-Thoughtful Thursdays: Thursdays will be devoted to exploring thought. I’ll be posting news, controversial stuff, real nitty-gritty, fuck the man, kinda stuff! Most will pertain to hippie culture, politics, marijuana and other drugs, and other news worthy stuffs!

-Fun Fridays: Fridays is where I’ll be posting all the fun stuff like DIY projects! Check in on Fridays for Hippie-style DIY projects you can do at home!

-Sassy Saturdays: Hopefully, once things are established, Saturdays I’ll be answering your questions and creating my advice column! I’m by no means a psychologist or therapist, but I can offer advice from one fun-loving hippie to another. I’m especially well-versed in LGBT advice, as I am a member of the LGBT community! Feel free to ask your questions in the “Contact Me” section!

Thanks for reading and come back any time!

Peace and Love,

M. Joy
